**Love Is Blind: Boston was the US #2 show and East of Eden was the global #2 series.**

Animals claimed the top spot on Netflix's U.S. movie chart for the week of October 20. Love is Blind: Boston occupied the number-two position among U.S. Netflix shows. East of Eden secured the second place on the global Netflix show ranking.

The rankings were released on Wednesday, 21 October, reflecting viewer activity during the preceding week. The title appeared in Netflix's weekly movie list alongside other releases.

Love Is Blind: Boston's runner-up status was recorded in the same Wednesday update. The reality series followed the franchise's expansion into a Boston-focused season. Its placement placed it behind the top U.S. show for the week.

East of Eden's position as the global #2 series was also noted on the 21 October release. The limited series trailed only the chart-topping global show for that week. Its international ranking reflected viewership across multiple regions.

## Analysis

Animals leading the U.S. movie chart suggests that animal-centric narratives resonated strongly with American subscribers during the week. The result also provides a benchmark for competing streaming services tracking genre performance.

Its placement indicates that viewers remain engaged with the Boston iteration despite the series' earlier seasons. The ranking could influence Netflix's decisions on renewing or expanding the format.

East of Eden's global #2 ranking demonstrates that limited-series storytelling can capture international audiences effectively. The series' performance may prompt the platform to invest further in limited-run productions with broad appeal. However, without data on viewership volume, the precise impact on future content planning remains uncertain.
